Police done gone and identified a woman who was found dead up in a cemetery in New Haven on Friday. Naysha Mendez, aged 35, was discovered near the crematorium in the Evergreen Cemetery on Ella Grasso Boulevard just before 8 p.m., according to the cops. A person walking their dog stumbled upon Mendez’s body, police done said. Chief Karl Jacobson done said Mendez had wounds that point to her death being a homicide, but he didn’t say what them wounds were. Chief Jacobson reckons this here is an isolated incident and there ain’t no danger to the public. Mendez done lived in New Haven’s Hill neighborhood, according to the chief. He done said her family is playing nice with the investigation.
