INDIANAPOLIS — So, apparently the Knicks aren’t ready to be buried just yet. In a shocking turn of events, they managed to claw their way back from a 20-point deficit in the second quarter to secure a thrilling 106-100 victory over the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals. This win gives them a much-needed pulse in the series, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
The comeback was nothing short of miraculous, with Karl-Anthony Towns leading the charge in a frenzied fourth-quarter rally. Despite Jalen Brunson spending much of the second half on the bench due to foul trouble, he stepped up when it mattered most, sinking the game-winning basket with just over a minute left on the clock. Towns put up an impressive 20 points in the final quarter, while Brunson added 23, and OG Anunoby chipped in with 16.
Coach Tom Thibodeau shook things up by tweaking the starting lineup, but the real difference-maker was the Knicks’ renewed defensive intensity in the second half. Towns, in particular, came alive in the clutch, propelling his team to victory when they needed him most. With Game 4 looming, the Knicks have newfound hope and momentum on their side as they look to even the series on Tuesday night.
