Times Square New Year’s Eve Street Closures Unveiled by NYPD
The New York Police Department (NYPD) has officially announced the street closures set to take place for the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square. If you’re planning to be in the vicinity of Times Square on this special night, be prepared for significant changes to the usual traffic flow and parking arrangements in midtown Manhattan.

On Tuesday, on-street parking in midtown Manhattan will be extremely limited due to the street closures implemented by the NYPD. It is strongly recommended that individuals attending the New Year’s Eve festivities opt for public transportation to avoid any inconvenience or delays.
Detailed Street Closure Schedule
Starting around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic:
– Seventh Avenue from 42nd to 49th streets
– Broadway from 43rd to 49th streets
– 43rd to 48th streets from Sixth to Eighth avenues
Additional street closures will come into effect around 11 a.m. on Tuesday:
– Southbound Seventh Avenue and Broadway from 38th to 57th streets, between Sixth and Eighth avenues
– 38th to 56th streets, from Sixth to Eighth avenues
Moreover, commercial and other large vehicles, including trucks, will face restrictions starting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with closures on:
– Northbound Sixth Avenue from 34th to 59th streets
– Northbound Eighth Avenue from 34th to 59th streets
– Areas east of Ninth Avenue from 37th to 59th streets
– Locations west of Fifth Avenue from 35th to 59th streets
