Jeepers creepers, how’d he pop them peepers? Williams Martin Sanchez Lopez, a guy from Uruguay living in Milan, Italy, has gone and snagged himself a Guinness World Record for his super weird talent of popping his eyes out of his head like a cartoon character. Can you even imagine that? Like, seriously, what in the world?
Lopez, who seems to be a real jokester, told Guinness that he’s all about having a good laugh, so being able to make his eyes pop out is like a whole other level of funny for him. The dude can extend his eyes a whopping 0.74 inches out of their sockets, which is more than what some dude from Brazil could do. Talk about eye-popping skills, right?
According to his doctors, Lopez figured out how to move the muscles around his eyes just so, and after a bunch of practice, he was able to push his eyeballs right out of their sockets. I mean, who even thinks to do something like that? Not me, that’s for sure.
This whole eye-popping thing is actually called protrusion, like seriously, who knew there was a word for it? Lopez just chills out his eye muscles and then pushes those peepers out, and boom, world record achieved. It’s like something out of a crazy movie or something.
Lopez started his eye-popping journey when he was just a kid, like 8 or 9 years old, playing around with his friends and realizing he could do something totally bizarre. Fast forward to now, he’s a dad of four working in logistics, but still, loves to freak people out with his eye-popping talent. Not really sure why this matters, but hey, it’s a thing.
People are so into this eye-popping thing that Lopez gets tons of requests from fans to pop his eyes out on camera while shouting their names. I mean, can you even imagine asking someone to do that? It’s a little out there, if you ask me.
One of Lopez’s favorite tricks is sneaking up on unsuspecting folks and popping his eyes out, making them practically jump out of their skin. Now that’s a party trick if I ever heard one. He hopes that by showing off his weird hobby, he can inspire others to embrace their unique talents and maybe even get some recognition for it. Not really sure why anyone would want to follow in his footsteps, but hey, to each their own, right?
Even if someone breaks his eye-popping record, Lopez doesn’t really care. He’s just stoked to have had this “beautiful experience” with Guinness World Records. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be known for popping their eyes out, right? It’s definitely not something you see every day, that’s for sure.
In the end, whether you’re into eye-popping or not, you’ve got to admit that Lopez is one-of-a-kind. Who knows, maybe he’ll start a whole eye-popping trend or something. Only time will tell, I guess.
