So, like, this crazy incident went down at the CIA headquarters in Washington, D.C. early Thursday morning. Apparently, a female driver got shot after she totally ignored commands at a checkpoint. According to law enforcement sources and local police, it was labeled as a “security incident.” The shooting, which was thankfully non-fatal, happened before 4 a.m. right outside the main entrance of the CIA in McLean, Va. The Fairfax County Police Department spokesperson even confirmed this whole wild situation.
The CIA was all hush-hush about the incident, only tweeting a little something after the shooting. A spokesperson from the agency reluctantly admitted, “Yeah, so there was a security thing that went down outside the CIA Headquarters. The main gate is closed for now until we figure things out. Stay tuned for more deets, I guess.” And get this, the shooting happened not long after two Israeli Embassy peeps were shot outside the Capital Jewish Museum in D.C., like 12 miles away from Langley. The FBI was probably scratching their heads, wondering what the heck was going on. Not really sure why this matters, but hey, it’s news, right?
The Fairfax County Police Department had to step in to handle traffic while the CIA did their whole investigation thing. The CIA was all secretive and mysterious about the whole ordeal, not really saying much. But let’s be real, it’s not every day you hear about someone getting shot outside the CIA headquarters, right? The shooting came out of nowhere, following another shooting nearby. It’s all a bit sketchy, if you ask me. But what do I know? I’m just a newbie journalist trying to make sense of it all. At the end of the day, it’s just another crazy day in Washington, D.C.
