So like, there was a pretty wild crash in Huntley the other day. Apparently, the Huntley Fire Protection District had to deal with a multi-vehicle collision at Route 47 and Foster Road around 4:30 p.m. It was a real mess, with five vehicles getting into the mix. The damage ranged from heavy to moderate, and to top it off, two of the vehicles decided to have a head-on collision. Ouch!
The HFPD had their hands full with this one. Two people ended up trapped under one of the vehicles, but luckily, the paramedics were able to rescue them and give them some initial care. In total, there were 10 patients involved in this whole ordeal. One of them had to be taken to Northwestern Huntley, but then they had to be transferred to Condell Hospital because of the severity of their injuries. Talk about a rough day.
Another person was rushed to the emergency room at Northwestern Huntley in serious condition. Two others were taken to a different nearby hospital with minor injuries. And get this, the remaining six patients were just sent on their way to take care of themselves. Not really sure why this matters, but hey, it’s part of the story.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Department is on the case now, trying to figure out what exactly went down. It’s a real mystery, folks. But don’t worry, they’ll get to the bottom of it.
Overall, it was a pretty chaotic scene out there in Huntley. Hopefully, everyone involved makes a speedy recovery and learns to drive a little more carefully next time. Stay safe out there, folks.
