A big, serious car accident went down on Friday right in front of Indian Hill Country Club in Cook County. The whole thing went down at Ridge Road and Meadow Road, according to a post from the Winnetka Police Department on Facebook. The Cook County Sherriff’s Office gave the deets, saying a car was heading south on Church Road in Winnetka when it hit two ladies and a baby in a stroller just after 6 p.m. on Friday. Tragically, one of the ladies was pronounced dead right there on the spot, and the other one passed away at a nearby hospital, as per the office. The baby is in critical condition at a local hospital, according to the authorities. The driver and passenger of the car got taken to a hospital for injuries that weren’t life-threatening. The Winnetka Police Department and Winnetka Fire Department were the first ones on the scene.
Since the accident went down in unincorporated Cook County, the investigation is being handled by Cook County. The Facebook post originally told people to steer clear of the area because there was a ton of cops around. No more info was available as of Friday evening.
