Two ladies sadly lost their lives after getting hit by careless drivers on Saturday night in separate incidents in the Bronx and Brooklyn, as per the police. A 56-year-old Toyota driver recklessly crashed into a 78-year-old woman who was simply walking north on White Plains Road at East 216th Street in Olinville around 10:30 p.m. The poor woman suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where she was later declared dead. The driver, surprisingly, decided to stick around at the scene, and as of now, no one has been arrested for this tragic event. The victim’s identity is being kept under wraps until the NYPD can track down her family and break the news to them.
Over in Bed-Stuy, an unidentified Chevy driver carelessly struck a 32-year-old woman at Lafayette Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard just before midnight. The woman was immediately taken to Kings County Hospital, where, unfortunately, she was pronounced dead. The authorities have not revealed her name yet, as they are still in the process of informing her family about the devastating news. The reckless driver, after causing this tragedy, decided to flee the scene, driving east onto Lafayette Avenue and crashing into two parked vehicles. The driver then dashed out of their Chevy on foot, leaving the scene without a care in the world. The NYPD has yet to make any arrests in connection to this incident.
